This is a great little place to stop. Very homey place with GREAT service. Lots of locals there so that means they like it too, not just a tourist place. We were there for breakfast. Very busy but still got food very timely and it was hot. My only complaint would be I would like more cheese in the omelet.
I've never had anything bad here. Just good food. Very popular with local people. Be prepared to wait on Saturday.
Nothin' fancy, but GOOD! Service was good. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. It was delicious and there was plenty of it. Price was pretty good too. Ambiance was fine. IMO, the best breakfast place in Shelbyville.

Great price for the food. You'll meet a bunch of the locals sitting in there all morning. My grandparents eat there ever Saturday morning and absolutely love it. The service is super friendly. It's a old downtown building but still looks great in there.
Across from the court house Lisa's Cafe offers a great breakfast and lunch selection seven days a week. They open at 5:00 AM every day of the week catering to those early risers. Lisa's Cafe starts serving there lunch menu at 10:30. Their service seems to be the fastest in town which is great if your on your lunch hour. Lisa's Cafe offers daily specials that are some of the best food I have eaten is this town. Generous portions and friendly staff makes it an inviting place to eat at exceptional prices. Lisa's Cafe is Definitely going to end up on your "Have to go" when your anywhere around Shelbyville. Lisa's Cafe will definitely end up as a main staple on your breakfast and lunch excersions. Great place to meet friends and colleagues. While I can say it's all great I would be amiss if I didn't say you absolutely need to try their Friday lunch special the Walleye is AMAZING and their Broasted Chicken on Saturday and most Sundays remind you of grandma's
Awesome breakfast from scratch friendly service I think the owner and great prices, wish I had eaten more than one meal at this place while visiting town.
Our family has been coming to Lake Shelbyville for many years and the last couple we've made sure we stop when we're in town. Breakfast is our usual staple when we stop. Today I stopped in with my brothers before heading out to the lake. My brothers had usual two eggs over with bacon toast and hash browns. I had a ham and cheese omelet. The omelette was loaded with ham, I mean loaded. Was very good. I also had a side of bacon....could have been cooked a little longer, my brothers felt the same with their order. We will be back next time in town.
